Why is the column used so differently in my hometown Kiel than in other cities and countries? 

In my master's thesis, I wanted to understand both the object itself and the structures behind it. I conducted a design analysis focusing on society, the attention economy and urban design. The design evolved into a user manual for columns,  complemented by the specially designed Litfont, which was created with narrow proportions and shortened ascenders and descenders to allow for maximum text density.

What is Stadtmachen? Stadtmach-posters – manifest themselves in Kiel's urban space and become part of the whole. A poster campaign in public spaces. The manifesto was written 2021 by the Stadtmacher*innen collective.

 Der Kiosk was initiated 2023 as a platform for students showcasing and selling self-initiated work during the annual academy exhibition, which did not really exist before. The aim was to create a low-barrier, collectively run spacewhere students could share products, ideas and experiments beyond traditional formats.
